Delete Your Account

1Overview

Deleting your Career Pilot account is permanent and cannot be undone. When your account is deleted:

• Your account and the data listed under What Is Deleted are permanently removed.
• Any active recurring subscription is cancelled and saved payment methods are removed from our payment processor, Stripe.
• If you use the mobile app, the data stored on your device by the app is also erased and you are signed out.

2Delete Your Account in the Mobile App

1. 1Open the Career Pilot app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. 2Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top of the screen.
3. 3Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
4. 4Read the confirmation message and tap Delete permanently.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. If deletion does not complete (for example, because you are offline), you stay signed in and can try again.

On the website: the Career Pilot web portal does not have a delete-account button. If you do not use the mobile app, request deletion by email as described below.

3Request Deletion by Email (Without the App)

1. 1From the email address you use to sign in to Career Pilot, send an email to support@career-pilot.com.
2. 2Use the subject line “Delete my Career Pilot account”.
3. 3In the message, include your full name and confirm that you want your account and its data permanently deleted.
4. 4We may reply to confirm the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account and let you know by email.

To protect your account, we only act on deletion requests sent from the email address registered to that account.

4What Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently delete:

• Your Career Pilot profile and sign-in details (name, email, phone, work history, skills and profile photo)
• Your uploaded documents and resumes, and resumes and cover letters made in the Resume Builder
• Job applications, submission history, matched and sourced jobs, and application queues
• AI job reports, resume analyses and assessments
• Credits, subscriptions, orders and purchase history
• Email history and outreach messages linked to your account
• Saved job-site credentials used for automated applications
• Your activity history and AI usage logs linked to your account
• Your active sign-in sessions
• Your customer record at our payment processor, Stripe, which cancels active subscriptions and removes saved payment methods
• In the mobile app: saved resumes, cover letters, jobs, documents, assessments, activity, preferences and sign-in tokens stored on your device

5What Is Kept, and for How Long

• Career Pilot account records: once deletion is complete, we do not keep your profile, applications, reports, messages or purchase history in your Career Pilot account records.
• Payment records at Stripe: card payments are processed by Stripe. Records of past payments that Stripe holds are kept by Stripe under its own privacy policy and legal obligations, not by Career Pilot.
• Legal requirements: if the law requires us to keep certain information, we keep only that information, and only for as long as the law requires.

6Delete Some of Your Data Without Deleting Your Account

You can remove some of your Career Pilot data yourself and keep your account.

Delete a document in the mobile app

1. 1Open the Career Pilot app and tap the Documents tab.
2. 2Find the document and tap its delete option.
3. 3Confirm in the Delete Document dialog.

Delete a document on the website

1. 1Sign in at www.career-pilot.com and open Documents in the portal menu.
2. 2Find the document and click its delete option.
3. 3Confirm in the Delete Document dialog.

Delete a resume or cover letter from the Resume Builder (website)

1. 1Sign in at www.career-pilot.com and open Resume Builder in the portal menu.
2. 2To delete a resume, click its delete option and confirm.
3. 3To delete a cover letter, open the resume's cover letters and click Delete.

What is deleted and what is kept:

• The document, resume or cover letter you delete is removed from your account straight away.
• When you delete a document, a note that the document was deleted, including its name, is added to your account's activity history. This note is kept until you delete your account.
• If you do not see a delete option for your documents, request deletion by email as described below.

Delete other data by email

Other data, such as job applications, reports, assessments or messages, can only be removed by request while you keep your account:

2. 2Use the subject line “Delete some of my Career Pilot data”.
3. 3List the data you want deleted.
4. 4We may reply to confirm the request comes from the account owner, then delete the data and let you know by email.
